MEDLINE
MEDLINE covers journal literature in all areas of medicine, including dentistry. The link above provides access to MEDLINE via several providers, all of which provide access to OSU and OhioLINK electronic journals. We generally recommend searching MEDLINE via PubMed or OVID. Both services index the same journal content. OVID MEDLINE allows for easier limits to the Cochrane Collaboration's evidence-based review articles.

Evidence-Based Medicine Reviews: Cochrane Collection (via OVID EBMR Package)
The Cochrane Collaboration, an international network of individuals and institutions committed to preparing and disseminating systematic research reviews, produces a number of full-text evidence-based resources designed to answer your clinical questions. The Cochrane Oral Health Group reviews the dental literature.

Biosis Previews
Indexes literature from 1980 to present, focusing on biological and medical research findings, pharmacological studies, and discoveries of new organisms.  Biosis covers dental biochemistry, biology, and instrumentation.

SciFinder Scholar
SciFinder Scholar/Chemical Abstracts (2007 version) is the largest and most comprehensive database of chemical literature in the world.  It is especially relevant for dental materials research.
