Respiratory Therapy Resources

Journal Article Databases

CINAHL : Provides access to nursing and allied health information from 1982 to the present.  Over one thousand journals are indexed in the CINAHL database, including 14 respiratory therapy journals.

MEDLINE : Covers the fields of medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, and the preclinical sciences. This database contains citations and abstracts from over 4,300 biomedical journals.  Use MEDLINE to supplement and broaden your CINAHL search for literature relevant to respiratory therapy

PubMed : The version of MEDLINE accessible by the public from the National Library of Medicine's web site.  A particularly useful feature of PubMed is its "Clinical Queries" service, which provides filters allowing you to limit your retrieval to articles that report research done with specific methodologies.

Library Catalogs

OSU Library Catalog : Use the online catalog to find out whether the OSU Libraries own a book title or subject; or subscribes to a journal you are seeking.

OhioLINK : You can borrow books from any academic library in the state of Ohio by using this catalog.  Check here if OSU does not own a book you are interested in borrowing.
