Our library will be a leader committed to excellence and innovation in the dissemination of health information.

MISSION STATEMENT

The John A. Prior Health Sciences Library and its associated libraries provide health information for the needs of educators, clinicians, researchers, staff, and students of The Ohio State University and its affiliates. As a secondary mission, we support the health information and resource needs of the global community.

Purpose

In order to fulfill this mission the Library will:

1. Evaluate, select, organize and preserve collections
2. Provide access to resources through various services
3. Capitalize on and contribute to emerging technologies
4. Participate in and promote resource sharing
5. Engage in outreach services
6. Promote continuing education and lifelong learning
