New for Fall, 2008:  The PMCID is listed in the lower right corner of the AbstractPlus (default) view of PubMed.  If the paper is not yet publicly available on PubMed Central, but is in a journal title automatically submitted by the journal publisher, the abstract view will also list the date the article will become available.   See this example.
